    Back in Malaysia?

Yup.. I am back at this Hot and humid country again. I know i don't really like Atlanta's winter but i guess i dislike the hot weather in home country even more. I guess i still need time to adjust to the time difference and my stomach.. haha. After having food here, I had a very bad stomach ache for a few days since I am back. That sucks. Today, it's feeling much better though.

There have been a lot of changes in Malaysia and my neighbourhood. Things are different and hope for a better change. I do miss Malaysian Food but i find my regular diet in States had made me felt that Malaysian food is much more greasy. My stomach can't really take it and i guessed that's why my stomach is not feeling well.

I was supposed to meet Li Yeing, one of my close friends in Malaysia, before she depart for Australia. The timing is really bad because the day i arrived home, she was preparing to leave. Well, we had decided to meet in June since i will be in Malaysia for quite a bit.

What are my future plans? working for my family for a while and see how it goes.

To be honest, i so wanted to go further and build a career of my own.. after the internship i felt more confident than never if i would try and work outside in a foreign country more. But.. i guess i am worried about my family and so came back and help.

The moment i talked to my dad.. i just felt i somehow made the wrong decision. Like i thought.. i would give it a try maybe about a year. If things doesn't work out.. I dunno... the chances of going back to US is really slim.

Maybe this is life? Haha. No doubt. Well.. meanwhile sit back , relax and try to focus on life!

  • Kooza- Cirque Du Soleil

I think the first time i have watched Cirque Du Soleil is on TV, where this chinese channel showed it as a special feature for CNY special.

I was kindda amazed by the way how they bring the circus acts into a different level- more to a sophisticated kind of arts performance. When i heard that they are coming to Atlanta, i was like !!

I must see this! Going to watch it with another friend ! So excited!

  • Clay paintings ~

Finally got myself to rest for a bit.. and today went and did something exciting!

Clay painting!! There were around 100 types of clays for you to choose which one you wanted and paying for it includes everything from firing the clay and colouring as well.

Alexey, Tekelia and me went together to Naked Clay Pottery at Sandy Spring Road, which is about 15 minutes drive from my house.

Among the 100 of them.. i chose to paint a set of salt and pepper shaker!

    The end result is..

and Tekelia is painting her masterpiece

Charlotte is one of the cities in North Carolina which is like 4 hours of driving from Atlanta. Apparently, Spencer said she was going to be there from 12th Sep - 15 Sep.. so I went to visit her along with my colleague, who was on vacation.

It was quite fun... , we didnt do much but talked a lot i guess. I want to say i really cannot drink at all. I think i am allegic to Vodka. XD I have an extremely low tolerance for alcohol.

I have some pictures but then its with my colleague's camera... i have to get it posted ! =)

My internship will be ending in next year January .. time is quick!!

All the travelling is worth while.. yesterday hung out with 2 of the new interns of the hotel, Sun and Min, where we cooked some food together and chilled out! We have good food, entertainment and of course alcohol. =)

I cooked curry rice and i guessed this is the best one i have cooked. Sun cooked this traditional korean spicy stirred fried pork. It's sooo good with the rice. Then we played Wii with Madelyn's new game - Mario Kart..

Basically we had a great time!

Another fun thing is.. FOOD. We could grab some fresh buffet breakfast at cassis restaurant and then had a great lunch in the restaurant as well. Next, we had cookies for dessert!! Yummm..

  • Heat!!

It's the end of summer holidays for the kids, but the heat and weather in Atlanta is still as hot as Malaysia. End of summer, which means kids are back to school and its time for us to take vacation!!

Beijing did a spledid job for the opening ceremony and almost everyone at workplace were closely watching Olympics but its going to an end soon! Kudos for Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, although you didn't bring back the gold medal but then you are always No.1 in the Malaysian's heart.

Yesterday, I had a good chat with Stacie, who is currently 3rd year student in Les Roches and also Kim.. Both of them are struggling and headaching for Intergrated Project, this reminds me so much of the times when i did the project. I gave an almost 2 hour free counseling on their ideas, theme and stuff.

Stacie said something that made me laughed " You must have regretted mentioning this topic because you have already graduated and still have to help us in Intergrated project."

Well, I cant wait to read their proposal!! They had an interesting theme and selected the location i knew.

    hmmm..

  • Atlanta Braves Game

Atlanta has the Atlanta Hawks for Basketball, and the Falcons for the American football, and the Braves for the baseball. Bought the tickets for $6 and have a very good view from the top! Actually the Braves used to be really good but then they are kindda in a slump these years. I was really excited to go to a Braves game because i am so used to watch it on TV during work.( my bad!!) Well, they lost the game though, 5-1 to San Francisco Giants.

I guess its the American culture where you can buy beer during a game(which will never happen to Malaysia), that is like kindda cool to me. I thought the place i am working have a totally rip-off price for a bottle of beer, but until i realize one bottle of beer for $6.50 in the game. I can buy 12 of that in Kroger Store. Braves Game is at the Turner Field.

the band from Georgia Tech, they only played one song and left!!

    downtown Atlanta view

I like this picture a lot, Stadium with a huge crowd

The only thing is that during the games there are no commentators, so i just felt kindda weird..
but the atmosphere during the games are excellent and so exciting! I just liked it when everyone cheered at the same time. It was a great trip!! Looking forward to a Falcons games

  •  Six Flags

I cannot imagine this.. It was not a very good day for me ? We arrived Six Flags around 12.30 and got into this 1st ride called Georgia Cyclone.. OMG Its freaking scary because the safety belts doesn't look really safe and it was trembling so hard when it went down and up which hurt my body so much. Later then, i had a really bad spine pain with bruises on my left arm. Anyway.. its only that ride i guess. Thank God Tekelia didn't ride it, if not it will deepen the bad impression of rollercoaster to her.

and you know .. i got really shocked when i read this :

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- A teenager Saturday was struck and killed by a roller coaster at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park outside Atlanta, authorities said.

The 17-year-old park visitor was killed after scaling two fences -- one of which was six feet tall -- around the Batman roller coaster, park spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a statement.

The teen, who visiting the park with a church group from Springfield, South Carolina, was decapitated, she said.

It was unclear how fast the outside-looping coaster was moving when it struck the teen, but according to the park's Web site, the ride reaches speeds of 50 mph.

"We do not know why this person was intent on gaining access to this restricted area," the statement said, noting that multiple signs are posted stating, "Danger Zone," "Do Not Enter" and "Authorized Personnel Only."

Police said the incident occurred about 2 p.m. The ride was closed Saturday, but park officials said they expected it to reopen Monday.

    -----------

It happened on the same day we were at six flags..

oh my godness. May he rest in peace.. which shows that its no joke when comes to restricted places like this.

anyway, we did have some fun. Tekelia, who was threw out of rollercoaster when she was 8, managed to overcome her fears with riding the Ninja Rollercoaster at the park!!

Madelyn( left) with a super funny face expression and Tekelia with a peace sign!!

We went to Cheesecake Factory again because Tekelia 'complained' that both of us went without her that day haha.
I had chicken Madeira this time and its really good.
This is Madelyn's fave : Chicken Cajun Little

    And of course.. cheesecakes

Apple Cinamon Strudel : tasted so good!! had this during the last outing

Godiva Choc Cheesecake : sinful bite, and so rich ......hmmmmmmmmm I had this yesterday

  • Summer TIMES!!

Right now, Atlanta is as hot as Malaysia. Kids are out for summer holidays and most parents are on vacation too. The hotel has just launched this summer holidays ice-cream promotion which is the Hagen Daaz ice cream promotion. My favourite is the Warm Apple Tart that comes with a scoop of caramel ice-cream and warm apple crust with cinamon.

Going out this Saturday to have some fun at Six Flags with Madelyn and Tekelia. Hope we will have some fun..

so glad to hear that Kimberly loke and Pablito are/were having some fun at Shanghai? for the Les Roches summer camp thingy..anyway hope to see you guys really soon.

    Life goes on!! ~
